I do not know where to turn. My son has been beaten and believes his attackers tried to kill him. They kept calling him a fag and rat while they beat, kicked, and stabbed him. He is in one of the federal prisons in California and I am very worried about him. He says he is afraid they are going to put him back in general population and he thinks he will be killed if that happens. He says they slip him notes all the time to watch his back. I cannot afford an attorney to help him. He got 20 years for writing a letter that said Die Bush Die. It seems like a lot of time for so few words. He had written to me that he wanted to be moved and he thought the letter would help him get moved. It was a really dumb thing to do but not deserving of 20 years. Murderers often get less. I am just not sure how to help him.
