Ok, I was riding my sport bike on bike night and normal thing is some excessive speeds of course. I for the first time was noticed by a cop, but I do not even think he knew my speed. I was going fast, but just did the stupid thing to try to see if I could get away. I left him over a mile behind and he still just kept coming after about 5 miles of chase I think. I was exiting to figure something out, could not slow down in time and skid uncontrolled slightly and hit the edge of a curb and lost it. I rolled and slid 20+ feet and the bike slid about another 20 feet. The cop then showed up right when I stopped sliding and stood up, guns drawn, and back down on the ground.
so, I need to know what my chances of just probation and no jail time are. I have no past criminal records, and the last speeding ticket on record was in 2001. I was not intoxicated, not on anything at all, and had current license, insurance, registration, and inspection. I was 100% cooperative with the cops as well. I was only charged with evading with vehicle and $5000 bond. So, nothing was amiss except the fact I wanted to see if I could get away.
I feel since I have no history, I should probably get probation, maybe a fine and some community service, and no jail time.
So, if you can please share some thoughts I would greatly appreciate it.
