Welcome to the herbicides and pesticides discussion thread within the chemical exposure section of our Legal Chat Online community. Steigerwalt & Associates is a law firm with decades of collective experience in helping those who have been harmed by exposure to toxic substances, and we have put this online community together for several reasons:

1. To offer an opportunity to our visitors to share their perspectives, experiences and knowledge regarding these toxins for the benefit of everyone else who visits here.

2. To provide a means by which those who have been harmed by pesticides and herbicides to contact our firm to explore their legal options in relation to the harm they suffered, as many times there are options available that are unknown to the victims.

3. To invite those who understand these products and substances to share their knowledge in regards to avoiding exposure, which is obviously the most preferable way to avoid the harm that results.

Herbicides and pesticides were once thought to be extremely useful, as each of them were formulated to eliminate unwanted substances that harmed useful products. Pesticides were used to protect plants and crops from the creatures that fed on them and prevented them from being harvested to their full capacity, and herbicides have been used to eliminate unwanted plants that tended to "choke" off farm crops.

However, people who were exposed to these substances soon led to the discovery that these substances, which often are sprayed on crops, lead to serious, debilitating and sometimes terminal conditions. Not to mention, many herbicides and pesticides seep into the underlying soil, which will contaminate anything grown on that soil for years to come.

Our best informal suggestion for avoiding exposure to these substances is to eat and buy food that's been grown organically, but even that will not guarantee safety. If you have been harmed by pesticides and/or herbicides, contact the firm immediately to schedule a consultation.

Is there a time to file for chemical exposure or civil lawsuit for firing an employee for bad reasons? I have both issues and because I have been in court so long for comp without decisions, what is my limitation for chemical exposure lawsuit and civil lawsuits?

Hi PoisonedbyMB,

Every state has statutes of limitations for just about every type of law.

Depends on what state you're in.

You say you were fired "for bad reasons" leads me to think there might be more to your story.

However since I assume that you already have a lawyer, he or she should know the statues of limitations for your state.

best of luck
