Welcome to the vinyl chloride thread within the chemical exposure section of Steigerwalt & Associates' Legal Chat Online community. Our firm has represented clients harmed by toxic exposure for many years, and during that time, we've learned that the best way to help the public in general is by educating them on the substances that can cause harm and helping them to understand how to avoid exposure in general.

We present this forum to you not only to help you understand these substances and how to avoid them, but also to provide you a means to seek out and analyze your legal options and to invite others to share their knowledge and insight in hopes of alerting the community at large of the dangerous substances that can invade their lives without their knowledge.

Vinyl chloride is the specific subject here, and this toxin was invented in the 19th Century and widely used thereafter as an industrial chemical that aided in the production of PVC. PVC has appeared in several products over time, including aerosol spays, although that use was banned in the early 1970's due to the many negative effects is produced.

When people are exposed to vinyl chloride, it can produce horrible health-related results. The least serious effects include the feeling that one gets from drinking too much alcohol - confusion, loss of judgment, loss of balance and other problems.

At its most serious, vinyl chloride has been linked to liver angiosarcoma, a rare but extremely dangerous health condition that can be fatal. Overall, vinyl chloride needs to be avoided, and we invite any feedback you may have in regards to where it can be found.

In the meantime, if you've been harmed as a result of exposure to vinyl chloride, please contact the firm immediately to schedule an initial consultation.
